Mission Statement

This program is designed as a recreational outlet purely for the enjoyment of children ages 3-16. This program does not claim to be a baseball or softball player-producing factory with designs for building big league stars. This program’s purpose is to provide an enjoyable recreational experience with emphasis on PARTICIPATION, not perfection.

    STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

The adults charged with the responsibility of administering the Grenada Youth League Program believe that a major component of this program is to use the games of baseball and softball as a vehicle to promote character, a right attitude, and a sense of responsibility and citizenship in children. This goal should be achieved through fair play, good sportsmanship, and congenial fellowship, with adult leaders providing the example. It is strictly against the policy of the Grenada Youth League for any person, either as a participant or spectator, to engage in argument, to use abusive language, to harass umpires or coaches, or to exhibit any behavior not in accord with the general intention of this statement of beliefs. Team coaches are required to abide by this belief, so all parents, adults, and players are also encouraged to do so.
